Delaying amp turn on?

I am running a Kicker SX500.2 with the SXRC for the fronts and a JBL 1200.1 for the low end. Whenever I turn on my car The JBL kicks on right away and starts thumping then about 6 seconds later the kicker amp start playing. It probably has to do with it being digital and the JBL not being digital. Anyway to delay the turn on of the JBL amp? Thanks

....i don't think it's because it's digital.... i'll just leave that alone
check your voltage at both remote terminals, are they daisychained?

I am not saying its because its digital as in a class D, but these particulat amps have software that needs to load when the amp is turned on.

keep in mind that you are only wanting to delay the _start_ and not the stop. you may experience issues with turn off pop if the HU outputs are disabled before the amp turns off.

I don't recall if the 555 also delays the trailing edge.

you might want to add and AND logic gate to logically AND the remote input with the delayed 555. this way on turn on, the amp must wait for both remote AND delayed remote. on turn off, the amp will turn off as soon as the turn off signal comes.
