my neighbor wants to sell me this unit, i put it in for him its in perfect condition but he recently sold the rest of his system and wants sirius satelite radio instead of XM so hes gonna buy alpine...think thats a good deal on this headunit? its about 6 months old. I seen on ebay they sell for like $400...

I paid $386 after shipping on ebay. Its a awsome deck, so you have to decide if the $50 more dollars is worth the new deck. Does he have a warrenty? Would you get a warrenty from an ebay buy? Ask yourself these questions, Hear is what I would do. If his deck works perfect and has one year or more warrenty with it get that, because Ebay items usually don't have them. But sometimes you can find warrentys on Ebay, and If your friends deck doesn't have a warrenty, just get a new one.

Warrenty is key on that deck there have been some issues with the face

yea he has a warranty its from onlinecarstereo.com, he sent it back and got a brand new one recently because his face plate went bad

the 960/9600 are known for having face plate problems. i also thought to the alpines were xm

for the money he will spend on the sirius tuner made just for the headunit, he could've just bought the universal tuners and used his auxilary inputs
