Deh-p800prs

So when the HELL is it being released for sale!?! I've emailed Pioneer several times inquiring and haven't heard back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Not to mention, my product exchange is pending with them right now and I REALLY want the 800, but the guy taking care of me said he doesn't know when it's coming out and they like to settle complaints within 30 days, which is just not gonna happen if they try to replace my 6900UB with a HU that doesn't have USB input (880/980 that they offered //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif)

Anyone?
Mid to End of March according to my rep. Probably end of March more realistically.

UCF52- The only real differences, besides the color of course, is the copper plated chassis, the ability to use bluetooth (with optional adapter) and something called "ASR" or "Advanced Sound Retriever." I would assume ASR does something like get the most SQ out of bad recordings or old recordings, similar to a BBE Enhancer like Alpine uses. Most of those things are usually more hype than anything in my experience. The bluetooth and copper chassis will be sweet though.

What's the word about USB? It's not something I am particularly interested in, but I know many other are...

If you don't mind me asking where do you work? If you don't want to post it here you can PM me.

It already has BBE though..

I tell you guys... I will be using this head unit with my install when I buy my new 2008 civic...that unit looks REALLY nice...MUCH better than the silver version.

I just hope it has USB... without the freakin adapter...I dont want to buy a $100 piece to add onto it. I wonder what my accommidation will be on it when its released.

Man I cant get over how nice it looks in black.

Pioneer's site has been updated with the 800's info and it will need the 100 dollar adapter for usb, which i have read is horrible.

I wouldn't say it is updated quite yet. I think they changed some of the headliner info, but I would be willing to bet that they copy 'n pasted the specs over from the 880.

The only reason I think USB is built-in is because the lower end units (i.e 3,4,5 thousand) come with a USB pigtail and then an extender.

I just don't get it, why don't any of you ever look at the pictures? Click more images, there's a picture of the back of the unit, there is NO USB pigtail, extender, port, anything. Check it out for yourself. Believe me, I wish it had USB built-in, but I REALLY don't think it does.

Then I probably wont be buying the adapter.(Unless its pretty cheap) which is probably wont be.

Reguardless Im probably going to end up buying the unit. I wouldnt however if I was paying retail.

Ah, I never new the new pics of the rear were up. Yea, surprisingly I am now convinced there will be no built-in USB... that sucks.

Yea... I hate Pioneer for that. And the adapter for the IP-Bus is $100 online... awesome right?
Well if its $100 online, someone might sell it on here for like $80, and I could prob get it for like $60.... so I might think about buyin it but probably not. I have no prob with Cd'...unless they are bad quality.

Why not? People are still gonna buy it, and then they will buy the add-on. More profit for the company, smart business decision.
The idea is smart for them, but the fact that it is standard on a lot of the low end models just makes me think
