deh-p3000 and ipod help

ok so i bought the ip-bus adapter from target and i cant get the hu to recognize that it is there, so i cant play my ipod. can anyone help???

if your talking about the 3900 then im its not a direct iPod control where you can just use the cable like on my 4900

this is what you need to play your iPod on the 3900

That cable for the direct iPod control starts at the 4900 and goes up

na its a really old model from like 97. its the deh-p3000

O i see, well i still dont think that the cable you bought will work, i believe thats the cable for the 4900 and up, you might need a different cable, im not a HU expert so i may be wrong just thought id chime in
