Is this HU really necessary if I have no interest in going active?

I'd like to shave a few bucks off my build coming up and I was wondering if I could get by with a lesser expensive, albeit one that I am not losing out on much with.

It's really a deck for an active set up. But will work in any application as well the burr brown system is what really makes the deck sweet tho

It still has alot of processing and EQ that can be beneficial for any setup, active or passive. Just depends on what you're after...you could always go used on something with enough processing/features for you to save cash as well.

Deck sounds amazing. And with the time alignment, 16band L/R eq and a host of other features it I a win-win no matter your setup
