roll your eyes all you want. what you said is RETARDED. a PROPERLY DESIGNED ported box will walk all over a sealed box in output, both ear and meter. no question, no contest, its simple physics. you can argue all you want, and you'll just look more and more stupid with every post. you should know such a basic concept with as many posts as you have.

i wont argue that it may have sounded better to you playing music, sealed boxes are known for sounding tighter and more accurate than ported, and can get lower. but they DO NOT GET LOUDER.

now, an improperly designed ported box, has the potential to not get as loud as a sealed box. thats what you had, if you actually experienced the results you say you did.
