Decisions, decisions. Need help satisfying my amp.

I have an Alpine MRD-M1005 amp pushing 700w at 12v and 1000w at 14.4v.

According to the leet display on the amp, I am pushing in the range of 13.2 to 13.6v, so I figure the amp has about 800-850w to play with.

A few of the subs I've taken a gander at:

JL 12W6v2

Diamond Audio D612D4

Kicker 06S12L7-4

Alpine SWX-1242D (I understand I'll need superb midbass from my components)

This should give you an idea of what my budget is like. I am open to 10s and 8s as well, if they can beat the competition. I am looking for SQL with a nod to SQ. I would like tight, crisp bass. I am also getting components later and will be basing those components off on what sub I get so I can blend them together.

I would say an RE SX but you'd need atleast 2ft^3, closer to 2.5-3ft^3.

I'm staying with one sub. I currently have two type-r's but I barely have any room for anything else in the back so I'm willing to sacrifice the sound and loudness two sub can get me as opposed to one. That's why I'm looking for a sub that can really dance with 800w.

I just found out about TC Sounds, and the TC-1000 looks hot. The TC-9 isn't bad either.

According to some on the forums, TC is on par with JL, and for a fraction of the cost. Opinions?

My vote, of course, goes to the Diamond D6 since I have what is the same driver but an older model #.

Quick question re: D6s - Will the D6 perform well in the prefabbed box I listed? I really don't have the time to build one or cajole a forum member into building me one.

ive got the m1000, i guess the model before yours, does the same watts. Just bought a 15" Q, in a couple weeks ill be able to tell you how it sounds.

I've narrowed it down to:

Fi Q

IDMAX (because it seems to be THAT good)

D6 12D4

12w6v2

I am really tempted to get the JL, but I know I can get equal if not better performance for the money. So are the D6 and Fi worthy replacements of the JL? Is the IDMAX worth spending more? If I go JL, I most likely will go sealed with about 1.375cu ft. That way the JL can handle the extra power. (http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=4353)

What are the pro-cons of the subs I've listed (taking away the cost factor).

id go with the diamond d6 over the w6 in my opionion they sound better. great for sq and spl. im running 1100rms to mine and have no problems with distortion or anything. tested 140db with 2 on music(not cd quality) but needs to be in a ported box. great if you can get ahold of the diamond acustic box

look at the soundsplinter RL-p....same or better price range than the W6. VERY good sub that will love that wattage
