With spring rolling around, I'm ready to upgrade my system. Currently, I'm running an Eclipse 8052 headunit, Concept 1200d amp @2 ohms, and a RE SE 15" in a 3.5 cft box, tuned at 34 hz.

I enjoy the sound quality of my sub, but still feel it lacks in the SPL department. So, I'm looking to get a new sub and possibly a new amp as well. Here are the choices I've narrowed it down to:

1 - Add another 15" SE and run the amp @ 1 ohm, splitting 600 watts between both subs.

2 - Get rid of the SE, pick up an 18" SX and run it @ 1 ohm 1200 watts.

3 - Save up a little bit more and pick up a 15/18" XXX and a new, more powerful amp

Space is not an issue, so I have plenty of room for any setup above. Again, I'm quite happy with the SE's SQ and responsiveness, but disappointed with its overall ability to get loud and low.
