The 789 is higher than a 689. If the price is not far off go for the higher model. And I never liked Pioneer. My kenwood units never let me down.

I own a 789,I think they sell for 200.00 on ebay

and lets put it this way,it compares to my 9833,is easier to use and is half the price

plus 5v preouts - I have also owned the PioneerPremier 760MP which is a POS
