Yeah both of the suggested subs are better than the ones in the auction

With around $400 for a HU, sub, and sub amp, I'd look towards the following:
HU: Pioneer Premier DEH-P390MP $128 shipped w/install accessories

Sub Amp: Hifonics BXi606D $175 shipped

Sub: Kicker 07 CVR122 $119 shipped

TOTAL: $422

The HU has 3 sets of preouts with separate sub control plus a front aux input.

The amp will do about 550-580w rms at 1 ohm.

Wire the sub at 1 ohm, put it in about a 1.25-1.5cf sealed box with 25-33% volume of loose polyfill and you're good to go.

It was a lil under 400. Rember that ur goin to need wiring harnesses for the hu and a amp kit to wire everything. So its pretty hard to have a decent set up for under 400. U may not realize this but head units are really important. I had a crappy jvc head unit and upgraded to a kenwood kdc-x990 and the difference was tramendous.

Cuple of problems I see with this:

I don't think the Buy 1, Get 1 Free promotion is still valid. SE.com hasn't updated their site yet (unless they are taking the hit themselves to rid any excess stock, but I don't think this is the case).

The amp is grossly overrated. 25A * 2 = 50A fused. 50A * 14.4V = 720W MAX. RMS would likely only be about 50-60% of that, so expect to only get about 430W RMS at 2 Ohms if you're lucky.

HU isn't a bad choice at all.

bogo on the kickers is a hell of a deal, i'm gonna try to get it... can you find me an amp to power them? i'm gonna keep the same hu.

If you can still get the B1, G1F deal, go with Dual 4 ohm subs, wire them to 1 Ohm, and throw them on a Hifonics BXi1206D. $240 plus shipping, around 1100W RMS at 1 Ohm. Set the gain to deliver around 900W RMS to both subs and should do nicely.
