thinking of walling my two RD alpha Max 18's (2500RMS each) I like the idea of the cabin getting smaller and the all the leak problems I have with the rear window and tailgate would be eliminated current estimated enclosure is 34Hx40Wx20D. THe wall would start right behind the rear seat, and I could take the seat out for shows and stuff, there would also be alot of room in the back for batts and a nice amp rack , later I would want to try and get 4 18's in the wall but. . , i unno wut u think ??

Build the box bigger and do 6 15s ported in the back.
actually would love too , but only have the two 18's on hand , might do six fifteens after save some more funds up (need some more batts to support) , do you think I should wall the two 18's for now ?

are you competing w/ it??

i say FTW wall every thing but thats alot of work when you could prob get about the same output from a below window box

now if you do plan the go to 4 later than just wait and build the wall once

oh yeah i think g-monk still has 6 15's for sale lol he has been suggesting 6 15"s alot lately lol

u dont have enuff space for 4 18's2 18s in the space u have now is just getting by imho

80
when he walls if he takes the rear seat out should be close

but two in cargo area will also be close but will wang lol

yea i don't think he meant 4 18's in a ported box....

and 80, that song in your sig that is labeled the best song ever...i need that time of my life back i just wasted downloading it lol

I would only recommend walling if you are competing with TONS of power when it comes to an SUV or van.

People may not realize this but when u build a wall, you lose your loading area that you used to have... that's why it's easy to get high numbers by just movin your box a little this way or that way.

Once a wall is built... there isn't much left to change.

If you plan on bassracing or high powered runs for competition, then i'd say build a wall, otherwise, bad idea.

SUVs and vans have plenty of cargo\cabin area for equipment and loading area unlike cars.

i say no...been there done that

the only reason i liked my wall is because it looked good and got oohs from people, never was a big fan driving around and such, just not worth it, especially a half-assed one

Well if you ran more subs, you wouldnt need these monster subs.

If someone is going for a loud musical car, I always tell them to go for cone area. You just cant go wrong. If you walled behind the front seats, you could get that Bronco realllll loud by doing some massive cone area. In the end, the subs are alot cheaper so its not like it costs much more, but I just prefer running a wall with alot of subs.
