dude, wheres my car? man, im looking for a component that gets loud as hell and can take some abuse and sound clean doing it. i just cant seem to find the right components for metal. i have some idq 8's but i dont want to rebuild my doors just to get those badboys to fit. please tell me theres a component out there with kick- *** midbass and cranks like hell

If you haven't already, add some sound deadening to the doors. I saw quite a bit of difference in quality in the drums and bass guitar from this. My current components are Viper 650.2's. I dig them and they can be had for a good price if you can find a set. I have yet to make the things flinch even at very high volumes. They do like power, though.

I also run a single 8" sub in a small sealed box in the floorboard between the front seats. No big booms from this thing but it adds a bit of impact to the double bass on metal tracks as well as fills in the low end on the bass work.

Get some Rainbows that have the extra "kick" speakers with them (2 on the each side, one for dedicated midbass)
