alright... we know what amps were gonna use to power my death metal death machine. we've chosen the ARC SE series. 2300 (mids), 2075 (horns), and the 4000 for the subs. here's the big question... should i do 4 idmax 10's, 4 idq 10's. or 3 idmax 12's. the subs will be on th rear deck ib. matt @ id is pretty stoked on a sub ib install for a 2007 mustang gt. i would like to keep the 4000 on a 2 ohm load but i'll drop it down to 1 ohm if i got to. remember this is a sql system. sq at moderate listening levels to insane spl front stage.

anybody have any experience with the 4000?

i didn't ask if it was too much power... apparently an engineer by the name of matt @ id doesn't think sooo. this thread was started to get an opinion on what kind of sub stage i should consider.

well, those subs are rated between 500-1000 watts rms. i wanna run the se4000 @ 2ohm. i don't know if that will be enough power for 4 idmax 10's...

If you're going for loud mids and highs go for loud bass also. At least do the 4 10s ported.... Not that vagtastic IB.

4 10's sealed would still be very loud, ported or not.

I agree to a point, but many people love their IB setup. So go break some more subs!
