Reducing structural vibration & road noise will create a more efficient system, ie takes less volume to drown out the unwanted noise. Adding the structural strength & sealing any holes will help the (door) speaker perform better, ie better mid bass & mid range SQ. Simply put...better sound.

It adds mass to the panel you apply it to, reducing rattle and flex.

thin gauge sheet metal, or plexiglass, silicone'd or screwed in place using self tapping screws

do the inner part of your door first (really outer, but you reach into it), patch the holes, deaden over everything

35 sq ft was enough for my trunk. as for the doors, idk anywhere from 20-40sqft.
