DDX812 Question

Hello. I just bought a Kenwood DDX812 and I noticed that both the optional hd radio and satellite radio use the same port on the head unit. I contacted Kenwood to find out if there is a way to connect both and this is the response I got "Only one of the two units can be connected. We have submitted a request for a splitter, however, there’s no guarantee one will be available in the future."

Is this true? This doesnt right
