DDX712 Bluetooth help?

I just installed a Kenwood DDX712 head unit and Kenwood BT200 bluetooth unit. The bluetooth seems to be working fine but there is one problem. When I make a call I can hear the phone dial, ring, and the other person speak. When I speak back to them they can't hear me. When I hit the transfer sound to phone button then I can only hear them through my phone but the car microphone starts to work. Does anyone know what is wrong or have a suggestion on how i should fix it.

Its almost as if the settings are switched. When I am in the car mode I hear sound from the speakers but can't use the microphone. When I switch it to cell phone mode i can use the car microphone and only hear out ot the cell phone speaker.
