I think decaf recommends either track 3 or 5.....5 rings a bell.

not really, track 3 is -5db and that will still cause clipping on alot of songs.

Well you need to know your music. You'd clip with an o-scope as well if you set it with the wrong song.

i would personaly just get a -3db 40hz tone to set gains, much safer and u wont have to worry about clipping really. -0db if u want to be real safe, but u will lose more output.

Well you could always use track 1 or whatever it is on the DD-1, then you can play everything.

People just don't understand music and it's recording levels, and how these tools work. If they did, there would be no blown subs from stupidity.

pretty much. as for the op i wouldnt deffinitly reset ur gain with a different track. track 5 is asking for trouble and u will most likey have blown subs.

i use track 40hz-10db for subs and -5db for highs and track one and two are used to set your headunit no clipping no blown amps or subs system sounds nice and clean

And what do you think is on DD1 cd? It has 0db, -5, -10, -15.

A -3 tone compared to a -5 tone isn't going to make the difference between blowing subs and not.
