DD vs. SS

what will be better at getting loud while sounding the best doing it, I listen to techno/Rock so it needs to keep up with the fast beats, will be ran off of a sundown sae1000D amp, the choices are

(2)SS Rl-i 8" -or- (2)DD 1508

do 2 rli 10"s in a 1.5 cf before subs sealed box=teh secks. i did an install in my friends altima with the same setup (viper 1200 amp tho) and its pretty much ear ***.

yeah I would like to get 10"s, would the 10"s have much of a advantage over the 8"s, what would be the difference, and the 1.5 cubes, thats for both right not each?? thank you

yup for both=1.5 total volume. I've never been impressed with 8"s ...of course as far as good ones go...i've only heard a W7 and the Solobaric 8 and both let me wanting more.

I dunno,I have never played with either.But I have heard both in multiple installs.And I still couldnt tell u which to go with both are loud in thier 8" respect.I seen that dude from Toxic Bass holding **** close to 150(but he did fry em' close to 1000wrms each).I have never looked up or ran across numbers on an spl based install for a 1008 or 1508.

That is what my statement is based on.Both are killer 8" drivers.I would get what ever I could get cheapest.

I have heard of the 1008s taking 700-900wrms in daily installs,not sure about the SS.I know there is a great improvement on the 1508.

yeah i have a feeling that im gonna be going with the DD's i hear there build quality's great and they can take quite a bit of power,

dd's are built for fast bass lines. they are very accurate. i have the 1008's. only negative is they dont play low enough for me on rap songs. where in mich are you located?
