I haven't fooled around with my system for about a year now, and am looking to get a new sub since I am pleased with my amps, cops, etc. Previously I had 2 Mach 5 10's coupled with a RF 1000BD amplifier, I love the ways it sounds. My comps were Vifa Logic's with a RF 501x (I will keep these).

I am looking for two 10's, one 12, or one 15 to match up with my RF 1000BD and my comps. Something with great SQ and can handle moderate power for around $225. Oh, I listen to Crystal Method, Chemical Brothers, and others of that Genre.

Well from first hand experience , I run a type-R. I also run the bd1500.1 and coupled with the right box is just a good as the next guys. These subs are great for SQ. THey may not pound as hard as some of the high end but bang for the buck are hand down the best subs IMO. They take as much power as you are willing to feed them and if your willing to spend $225 you can prob get 2 for that price or 1 and a descent box. You should build one yourself to your own specs. Reason I say this is because everyone has their own preference on what the specs are. Some want ported and some want sealed and how much SQ/FT per sub you want etc. Do your homework on the box and you should be all set with a decent system! Ask around the board here about the box you should build as I am no pro and you'll be alright! Hope this helps
