DD T1510's Box build

its a standard cab truck build, nobodys has interest //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif . i have never had much interest in any of my builds either.

i want to know how those subs work for you since i helped you pick them;)

make sure you dont beat on them the first week playing them. they are hella stiff and need to be broke in. if the sound you want isnt there be patient, it took mine 3 weeks to get sounding good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

another thing do not let those subs hit the back of your seats! those dd's have a tight gap and if it hits your seat it damages the former which will ruin your woofers.

gotchya man, thanks for the tips.

if your going aero ports keep adjusting your port till they sound best to you. but give them a good break in first.

hey guys. finally finished. but i was dumb and didnt think about the port length and how i would fit 19 inches of port. i got maybe 13-14 inches of port. MAYBE. which tuned the box high as hell and thats definitely not what i wanted. like the song "brand new" by lil wayne hits so **** hard but i cant get any lows out of this thing. i know the suspension is stiff but still. i had to choice. as you can see in the pics i put the ports together in the middle and this is the longest i could make the ports. and i put one higher than the other so the ports could breathe. so i will have to order two new ports and try again on the other side.

you can see here how i had to stagger the ports.

and heres a short video of the subs breakin in. the gains were almost all the way down and the volume is way down too. i just took the vid to show the setup a little better and also can i turn them up higher while breaking them in or is that as high as i should go?

thanks guys,

Should've done external aero's if you didn't have the room. Plus you wouldn't have had the restrictions of the ports having the right angles

If you're not happy with it, there's absolutley nothing wrong with building another box. I f'd up my first one, learned alot from it, and to me, my second one was flawless. They are your subs that will probably be in your truck for a while, might as well be happy with them and do it right. MDF is cheap. Experience is invaluable.
