DD T1508 Question.

i dont think they would work well at all sealed, the suspencion is designed for ported apps.

even ported the t1508 only needs 1cuft and if you want to really make it nasty you can go around .65 cuft tuned to 38hz.

thoes are strong and very powerful 8's

depending on how much power you have you can put 1508's in a tiny box.

i wouldnt put them in a sealed box though

ive put them in as little as .4ft each ported

Well, after looking around its down to either a 1508 or a Mag V4. I like how the 1508 would save me space, but I also like how accurate, while still commanding, the Mag is. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

dont under estimate the 1508 they are crisp and clean in the right enclosure

the only thing about the mag that may be better is price. i dont know what they sell for though

ive been nothing but impressed with the 1508 i have. iam running mine with a solid 1k and in a tad less than 1cuft and many people mistake it for somthing larger.

i should have made my box smaller but it was very close to 4ft3 after disp

id have done far better if they were in 2.5-3ft

still managed a 151.3 on the glass

I would not do sealed on a 1508
Hey vic, hows that loading wall sound on one of those?
it made it a little more puchy but helped it take 1k better and here lately its been seeing quite a bit of that 1k lately.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

imo it helped a whole lot.

hey bones, that looks good man. could only imagine how that sounds

Good to know, I might try that in my girls car when I put her 4 in, off a Sundown 3Kd or maybe one of those new diablo amps when they come out:D

bro that would be sick, just be shure to give them plenty of time to break in if you get them new. at first i did not like the way mine sounded but in the last few weeks it has gotten 10x better. dd even has a breakin disclamer listed with all their subs now on the web sight.

I still think the whole break-in thing is a myth, only difference I can tell is loosened up suspension. Either way I have had them for a while and I have used them quite a bit so they are broke in.

mine were broken in by hooking them up and throwing the Z1a at them.

a few good burps on them on they were just fine

yea i can see that, i only had 500rms at first and when i switched out amps is when i noticed the biggest diffrence.

i guess i have a sickness now. here is what i will be replacing the 1508 with in a week or so, not going to go "fart box" but thought about 1.25cuft at 40- 45 hz off of the same 1k in the bronco.

and i am buying a dd3510d2 from 919 motoring on tuesday to replace the 10w7 in the olds. that one will be getting power from a fusion nvam2500 at 1 ohm.

dam this hobby is killing me:D

I'm really in it for a more accurate sound that can still produce low end...which is why I like the Mag. Am I correct for thinking the Mag would do that? I've never heard either of these, nor does anyone near me own them so I can't listen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.
