depending on the box size and the actual woofer you can tune lower.. i highly recommend these sies for daily..on the 9515 for a dialy driver 4.25 tuned to 36, 3515 4 tuned to 34, 2515 3.75 tuned to 34 does nicely.. for the 9512 2.6 tuned to 36, 3512 2.35 tuned to 35 for the 2512 2.25 tuned to 34.. after testing these woofers for years they have recently changed there spiders and there alot more efficient, so the larger boxes are a thing of the past.. they also like a tab bit lower tune.. i was most impressed with my 2512A(newest version) in 2.25 tuned to 33.. abit too low for daily but it freaking slamed and sounded good doing so.. she handled 1500 pretty good and wasn't quite broken in... not a bad woofer by any means..

ok, so im wrong by saying dd's shouldnt be tuned low....but doesnt tuning them low kind of defeat the purpose of buying a dd?

dd's are a very loud driver when tuned in the 37-45hz and higher range. they have a few models that are known to sound VERY good with lower tuning( as low as 28 hz)

the 2510 is a good example, will sound excellent tuned around 30hz and suprisingly sounds very good sealed as well but wont have the output.

i have a single 15 box tune to 35 Hz and im still in the market for a new sub. I doubt i would get a DD sub just cuz of there price. im not gona go with a used one . I guess ill wait to try one or 2 of DD subs

They are not designed to be tuned much lower than 40hz. Does that mean they wont hit lows, absolutely not. The play very well under box tuning, I have tuned a DD to 32 hertz and it was poo, the lowest you should tune them in 35 hertz but you need to give them a bigger airspace than recommend.

a saz200d is not enough power for 2 3515's though it would still good. that is perfect for one though. iam running a 3510 on 2k tuned to 38hz and its quite sick.

the 3510 is $350ish new from dd so id say the 3515 is $450ish.

check into the 2515's, there a little cheaper and will do 1k each with no problems.

i aslo ran a 2510 for a while on 1k(81000d) and it did very well too.
