dd subs in small encloure and port outside the box? help

hello everyone,

i went to a few shows this past month and i see alot of dd subs in little enclosures with a giant port outside the box.

anyone know anything about these? the people with them are putting up pretty high numbers.

i would like to build one for my 9515d but i have no clue how to or what that port is tuned too or what air space i need ion the enclosure.

i want to build one for a 1995 mustang and another for a 2001 tahoe.

can anyone help.

for a 9515 i wouldnt go any smaller than about 3.5-4ft with around 6 square inches of port area

in a mustang it would be painful

a tahoe would be very nice to

Hes talking SPL only boxes. Mainly in crx's i suppose right? Ive heard as small at like .7 cubes per sub after disp, crazyness

i have them in a tahoe now in about a 4 cube size box and the port is inside the enclosure. measures about 20 inches x 3 inches and 13 inches deep. that is for each sub.

but i see people with little enclosures and the round port outside.

yea i seen them in crx's and also a rav4 and a few other hatchbacks
