I hear ya ..thats what im goin for 48-49 in high 20s- low 30s ..if i crack a 50 so be it..

just like pretty much anything, it is pretty much all box dependent. Response looks super flat, good job.

aside from box design, copper v. aluminum coil and ferrite v. neo i think have a decent deal with if a sub is "peaky" or not. not 100% sure on that though.

Only thing I know is dd subs definitely like larger boxes one 12 in a 3.25 box tuned 32 is nasty and plays fairly flat.
The new i models dont need a huge box. DD is saying you can run 3 12s in 5 cubes now. I'm not reaching full xmax now but I do plan on adding a bit more power.

New basket woofers ? The new ones with the new suspension will be ALOT smoother than the old style drivers; which is where the generalization came from. In terms of music the new platforms are a massive step up.

Yes they are. Way lower fs then prior models. You can still get the stiff suspension pack and raise it.

It was an h series so maybe its changed doubt it though as far as dd recommending a box I wouldn't trust a word out of their mouth.

A freind is running a "DD box" doing a 149.9 with a single 9518 on 2400 rated watts on basically stock electrical. It may not work for every install but its working for his.
