going to be doing my first recone basket is cleaned ordered ca glue and rubber adhesive from fixmyspeaker.com going to go pick up some acetone once the recone arrives friday anything i should know anything specific doing my first recone?

Make sure you have shims for the voicecoil.

Also, wear gloves or be careful because CA glue doesn't come off. Not easily at least.

Also, some clamps to hold down the surround and spider while you spray the accelerator.

i got a standard recone instead of reusing the comp cone just incase the sub gets destroyed with 2 saz1500ds strapped at 1 ohm

as long as you dont clip the hell out of those amps i dont see why you would ever have a problem with that 9500 on two 1500d's strapped

i should have my Xp from dc power any day im pretty sure i wont even have to turn the gain up more than a hair to break the sub in correctly so my voltage wont be an issue anymore

be sure to remove the shims before gluing on the dustcap....seen it happen many times.

ok ill reread this thread and the guide before and while im doing it index cards are fine to use from walmart as shims?

Not to thread jack or anything but when i spray the accelerator on the CA glue turns white. But when i spray more accelerator or wipe it down with alcohol it makes it black again but then when it dries it goes back to white. What can i use to fix this problem

(to the OP i am sure u will run into this issue also)

You are using too much accelerator and the glue is hardening too quickly. When that happens the glue releases (toxic) gas that causes the glue to turn white (and brittle, so be careful).
