DD Headunit opinions

I need to get a new headunit and am seeking opinions, please...

Over the past couple years I've had a Kenwood DNX5120 and a DNX5160 in my 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe; I also have the BT200, XM100v, iP301V

The DNX5160 had an awful iPod interface, hit 'next' before the album art loads (which is slow) and no more iPod controls without shutting down the vehicle or pressing the reset button! I use my iPod 90% or more of the time, so I do not want something as bad as the 5160 is! I would certainly love to still use the outboard gear I have, but not if it means dealing with the daily frustrations of a crappy iPod interface...

I originally choose the Kenwood DNX over the Pioneer AVIC as there were ton's of bad reports on the AVIC's; I liked both for similar features: touchscreen, NAV, iPod compatible, XM available, BT available

What is everyone elses opinion of a which make/model is a quality DD H/U with features similar to the Kenwood DNX series? Is the 5180 really any better than the 5160? Some things in the 5160 were actually a step backwards compared to the 5120, IMHO

after oil ptices fose and the economiie fell every mfu took a few steps backwards to keep things affordable..

id go kenwood or alpine..

i has a new alpine iva w520, the picture on this thing is the best out there i believe, and i owned just about every double din yet lol.
