DD 9518g upgrades?

Kevlar. I don't think he told me about that...that's must be for members only lol...do you think I would need to upgrade the cone. It's getting pretty stiff. I had the $350 planned but not the extra for upgrades....
The press cone could handle the m2 right. But if upgrade the cone doesn't mean it upgrade the handling it's not really needed then?...I'm stuck....I really like the wow factor of just running 1 woofer and pushing it as hard as I can. If the upgrades would allow me to push harder down the line I will save up for it
If you want the best possible, get the upgrades.

However, they probably won't make a huge difference on low power daily

Kevlar ect cones are mainly for SPL setups to minimize cone flex at extremely high power. The lighter weight can help a bit in SQ setups.

It's good to have overhead for your amps, and a solid electrical system too.
Ok I was thinking of doing the m3 but then I read the amp gain is not meant to control output. Not sure cuz everyone always says go big as you can on amp then turn down the gains...

We'll see if my N3's can handle a Taramps 30k //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

They aren't volume knobs, but can be set for less output.

I guess which ever one I can get a nice deal on I'll get. If I won't hear a diffthen it's really doesn't matter then.. I love to show up to a comp one day but all my networking is online. I don't have friends lol... I love doing stupid stuff. Stupid stuff + unloyal friends =jail/death

You don't understand gains?
How I always understood it was to match the deck or source output. 2v from the deck means 2 v on the gain. Anything under or over would mean the amp will not perform it's best... I'm still fresh in the game. I don't know anyone with a big system and if they got one it was installed at a shop( one for them 2 12s and bass amp and box for $399) lol.

I'm saying there won't be a difference on low power. If you give it a ton of power and your cone flexes, that's bad.

All depends on how much you want to spend on an amp and electrical

2v would be the most power it can make. 4v would be less power, headroom, amp runs cooler, less stress on it

For now I would like to keep the amp within a 250 alt and xs d6500... Not sure if I would be able to run a m3 or not...

Anyone's guess, but you probably wouldn't run it comfortably.

Depends on your listening habits and how much power your vehicle requires to function

Well my truck came with a 80 amp alt the replaced it with a 130.. I would hate to get a 250 alt with big batt and drop under 13. My volts are so bad now it's crazy. Few times my truck stalled on me. Might be from clipping also...tryna a get power where there's none... And yes I have a stinger volt meter but most of the time I'm just crying looking at it

Make sure all your connections are good. That sounds awful

Didn't I have ur n3's built for IB set up? And u gunna put a 30k on em? Are they super hella stiff?

They are the stiffest subs I've ever felt. Ask @av83; how stiff they are.

Wayyyy stiffer than my Z. Can't even move the cones with your hands.

I asked them to be built to handle 7k+ free-air

Also, Shizzon said the amp does 20k on music, not the full 30k. It does 30k at .5 for burps
