DD 3512 vs SS rl-p 12

squeeze just a lil more space out of the box and pick up an rlp 15 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I second that, I have RLP 15 in exactly 2.0 cu ft sealed of an Orion XTRPro1000, and it sounds great and hits hard, even in my trunk, and even though I have injured the sub

heres my thoughts... I am not going bigger than 12, I am looking to stay somewhat conservative on weight because this is going into a sport compact and I am going to be tweeking it for performance.

as far as sealed not being loud... do I look like a newbie? Sealed does get loud... you might wanna say that it is not as loud as the ported, which I will agree with.

2 cubes is totally pointless for the 12....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. Also, the 15 will not weigh much more than the 12 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

If you want to spend a little more money you could go with a SI Mag 12" and throw your amp on it. I had one in 1.5cu ft with only 400 watts and i was inpressed. now i have 2 in 3cu ft off of 400 each and it is loud. soon ill be going ported and 1000 watts to each daily. i have no complaints about this sub at all besides that i wish i could throw more power to it right now.

I Am Not Going To Port.

This Is Going In A Sealed Enclosure>>> More Specifically I Am Glassing My Spare Tire Area

the RL-p 15 doesn't weigh that much more than the 12" version. Mike at Sound Splinter suggests 2.0 cu ft (net) for the 15, which is what you have to work with. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How about that 12" in 3 cubic feet while you are at it, you might make the F3 0.755982739587235Hz lower than your 2 cube sealed box. It'll be impressive beyond belief. Hell, save a little weight and stick a 10" version in there, those are faster and lighter right?

I'd say go with the R2D2SSlppi thingy. Since it'll be smoother and more musical and all...... I'm sure DD would appreciate not having you calling every two hours wondering why your system sounds like butt.
