DCVR 12 Subwoofer Enclosure

Okay ive finally decided im going to sacrafice 2 of my rear seats in my truck and just set a box on them. Anyone know how this setup sounds? I have done a bunch of searching and saw someone said that the box is too small for the subs... i used the 12v calculator and the box is 3.7 cubes... thats big enough for 2 cvrs isnt it? Also, right now i only have a zx300.1 amp... i am going to buy the kenwood 1800w mono amp (900rms) in about a month or so... do you think it will be any louder than my single sealed 10" cvr i have now (its wired to 2 ohms also)?

Id really appreciate some input because if i order it it will be this evening. Thanks.

The ZX300.1, is barely enough to make any noise. You say you are buying that Kenwood amp to add more power? The Kenwood amps that are made nowadays are overrated garbage. If you are going to sacrafice your entire backseat, at least make it worth while. Do yourself a favor, and buy box plans from someone on this site and make the box yourself. Take that extra money and get a TRUE 1K w amp.

That box= $189

A box you make yourself=$30

You will then have about $160 to add on to the $125 you were going to spend on some garbage *** Kenwood amp. Your new total budget for an amp=$285.

That will be MORE than ENOUGH to buy yourself a good and true 1K w amp

I dont have any 12" subs.... also id rather not mess with building a box. I built the box for my 10 and it turned out like crap and the carpeting looked horrible.
