I started on this a few weeks back but just got home to finish it. I'm taking a break right now because I might go for a bike ride in a little bit here.

I got to play with my friend, Greg's, table saw and I'll have it for most of the weekend. If this enclosure doesn't sound right, I'll just make a new one. The sub is an Acoustic Elegance av12 and it will only be getting 300 watts until I can get around to repairing my Directed 1500d or MTX 2300x.

Middle port between chambers. I used an epoxy to hold the PVC to the wood and the bond is awesome. I tried to break it out and I couldn't. The **** thing didn't budge at all:

I'll probably get to cutting out the sub and port holes tonight and putting them in tomorrow. I don't think I'm going riding so I'll probably get back out there in an hour or so.

av12's sound really really good...i designed a 1 cubesealed box with 1 zed audio amp on it and it sound pleasing to the ear

I had mine in 1.25 sealed and 3 tuned to 29. I really like the low end it has in the current enclosure but it is lacking in the 50-70hz region. Hopefully this will change that. If it doesn't, I may try a 4th order bandpass.

It's all assembled and the ports are in. Somehow over the two weeks I was gone, some of the wood warped a little. The top piece test fitted perfectly before I left and I should have left it on while I was gone. Now, it is slightly off but it still went together fine. I'm going to have to do some sanding and wood filling to fill the 1/8" or so gap/valley that was created. I'll get some pics to show you all what I mean. It won't be much work but I was hoping I wouldn't need to do something like that. Oh well.

Well, my camera battery died as I was trying to take a pic so sorry but no more pictures for a while.

I have my old MTX 8000 12 in the enclosure in my room as my drill battery recharges. Actual tuning is between 30-31/57-59 which works out fine for me. If this sub wasn't so jacked, I think it would sound alright in the enclosure. I'll have to wait on my drill before I can try out the av12 in it.

My pre-drilling bit snapped so I'm pretty pissed about that. Oh well...
