Dc xl10 m4 in a 4th ?

Hello guys,i just bought this sub for my boat,i was thinkingof a ported box first,but some people recommand a 4th, and other says dc is not realy good in 4th,so now in confused,i like the idea of a 4th but i want the best possibl,my goal is clean and loud,powered by IA20.1,i also have a ssa xcon ?

Your Xcon will match well with that amplifier.

Not an expert on 4ths but If the sub is suitable for ported it will work in a 4th. Generally a high QTS and low FS sub is ideal.

This statement is misleading.

High qts and low fs are qualities you want for a sealed box, which in turn would also be ideal for a 4th order.

Sealed subs work well in 4th orders, ported subs work well in 6th orders.

With that logic dc xl is not for 4th,but some guys say yes, this is why i ask some help!

Maybe contact DC and see what they say. I don't use DC equipment personally but running the numbers reveals it has a high EBP indicating that it's suited for ported enclosures.
