DC pricing??

From a pure business sense, I'm not a big fan of stuff like this at all. Because of this, I mostly likely will not be going with DC...sucks too, because I have heard a lot of good things about their subs.
you never know....i got a price quote from him for my xl and it was alot lower than what i was expecting so it would hurt to ask(he must of been feelin good that day)++++++ id get a dc sub over any of those others great cs and subs get loud *** balls

thats really stupid to say. dc subs are amazing. and the reason why they do this is to protect their dealers. i had a dealer about two hours away and rusty still sold it straight to me. and some other stuff.......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

anyways that shouldnt stop you from buying from them. out of the list id go with dc or Ia. IMO. but go with dc //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I just emailed him. Honestly, I don't think it is very stupid to say though. You don't go to the grocery store and buy stuff with no pricing, and you don't go buy houses with no asking price. I see how it makes since for the owner of the company, and I somewhat see your point about the other dealers...but what about the huge market of online buyers? What about the fact that I'm sure some people get fed-up with not finding pricing and just buy elsewhere. Or, finally, what if you bought X for $250, and the guy who walked in after you paid $175 for the same thing? Sure, basic economics says some thing is only worth what a person is willing to pay, but c'mon, even an MSRP might give some clue as to what the seller expected. They sound like they must be great from all the reviews, it's just really frustrating to not have any ballpark on pricing, lol.

I'm not trying to be a douche about this, but this is the only company out of MANY that I have looked at that has no pricing online.

Thx man:rolleyes:

You must be right, I have no idea how internet companies work. I guess myself and thousands of other internet-based companies that actually provide pricing are the ones making all the "stupid decisions". If this is the way the owner wants to run things great, but as I said, IMO, it would be best to have at least some sort of reference. How many people do you think review these forums, see several good brands (i.e...Fi, IA, AQ, and DC), go look for pricing, can't find any for DC, and buy the competition? I can't recall the exact figures, but I think the ideal number of clicks from homepage, to an item in the cart is supposed to be 3 or less. If they don't want to sell on their site, that's cool too...but again, wouldn't some kind of pricing be nice?

In their defense, I saw that AA does not have pricing online either and you have to go through Fi apparently to get it. Maybe I am missing something:confused: And, am I the only one who sees a benefit to the buyer in the seller providing the pricing up front and/or having a way to get a ballpark figure to reference?

I'm over by Lake Brantley. Running the set-up in my sig, less the subs.

I've already sent an email to the email address on their site. I do not know the owner's s/n on here, so I can't PM him as others have suggested.

Couldn't agree more. The only people agreeing with DC's tactics are the DC nuthuggers themselves. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Seriously, I always thought DC made a nice sub, but I just lose interest when I can't be browsing online and see prices. I'm not going to email Rusty when I'm not anywhere near prepared to buy. But if I don't have any money, I should be able to go online and eyeball prices to know how much I need to save.

Fi has no dealers, so they can have 1 price and show it online

AA has dealers so they cant list a direct price

ie: customer goes in store to see AA sub at $450, goes to their site online to see that they can get it online for half the price? if they are trying to protect their dealers then that dosent make much sense does it? DC has a dealer network...so no direct prices for the masses online

the only few i know that list prices AQ, FI, SSA, sound splinter dont have dealer networks, i believe IA list prices but they are MSRP and what good does tah do when you are comparing subs?

honestly how hard is it to pm/email someone for pricing, that way depending on if you are buying multiple subs you might can get a better deal or actually have some contact with the companies

after having a list about as big as yours my 2 favs were DC and SSA mostly because they were helpful in the questions i had, i X'd all the others off because if they are not helpful before i buy, why would they be helpful afterwards?

ive been through many companies mainly from the great things ive heard on here, hasnt let me down yet

end rant/explanation/etc
