This is just a simple thread not a 10 page thread hopefully of a bunch of fighting.

DC Power

160-170 idle, 240-250max-$460

Mechman

Rhino series 150 idle, 250 max-$400

This is for a 2001 F-150 5.4L

Which alt is the best value?

Need something that will do the best at idle to keep up with an IA 40.1 at full tilt.

Big 3 is done. How many runs of 1/0 to the back would I need and how many batteries in the back would I need? Want to stay above 12.5, 13 volts would be nice. I have a gold duralast for now upfront, and spv70 in the back what else would I need in the back??

true, But i wonder for the 60 bucks difference which one will be the best. I figure that mechmans alt will do 160-170 at idle as well right??

Its such a tough choice, both offer the same warranty, DC power actually called me when I sent an email didnt just reply to my email which is very nice and great customer service so IDK undecided

Well legititmacy isnt an issue

product performance isnt an isse ( both will perform very well!)

Customer service isnt an issue ( both CS if VERY good for both companies)

GO WITH THE CHEAPER! lol

make 11 more threads about. plz
cant help that my money i work hard for and dont want to make a wrong decesion since I have no experience with any of these companies unlike other people on here

...there was an identical thread comparing these two companies' products a very short while ago with pretty much the exact same title even...that's what we're saying.

Could've sworn there was a thread exactly like this (title might have even been the exact same) a very short while ago...
as was the OP.

Another one again. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

yea but that 10 page one is nothing but a big argue and crying going on not actual facts and which is better and why?

On the contrary there is a factual debate in the link to the thread I posted.

Flip a coin,

heads=mechman

tails=dc

I'll do it for you with a silver dollar.

the main question is, will the mechman do 160-170 at idle like dc power says his does, or will it only do 150 like mechman says??

thats the tough decesion. I am wanting people who have actually benched their alts of both compaines to see what they did over or below rating.

both companies bench their own alternators.

No need to ask anyone, 10-20amps at idle difference is nothing when you look at it. Factor in headlights, AC, heater, etc...

Just get a mechman. Faith already said so.
