mechman spent 20+ years in research and devolpment for each vehicle, and ever new car they do the same...

Their site hasn't been updated in a while. The upgraded the background but the alternator section and pricing is old. That's why they say call.

DC wated 600+ for the alt for my s-10... mechmans well yeah ALOT cheaper

btw theres a reason why you can run 2 DC power alts off a single external regulator, but with a mechman you cannont, mechman doesnt use same stator as all the other brands where you can run same ext regulator for multiple alts

Also basebalz13, you don't know squat about what DC is soon to be coming out with. What's the ratings on a mechman ext regulator? Provide better ratings then what they are and then I'd take your rebutle as a good one. Till then its nothing. DC's ext will clown any ext on the market hands down. Also do you know of any other place that has an alt to do 260+ at idle and still be a standard GM case?

LOL they use the EXACT same ext regulator...its the alt thats its diff, so mechman AND dc use the best on the market...

Andrew2944r has some of the bad boys that do 250 at idle. Also has one that does well over 340 in the k rpm's

Mine will also do around 240 at idle.

this is interesting. I just bought a mechman alt, never even heard of DC.

They look nice, but I suppose it's too late for me to have a choice 0.o

Either way, it seems like opinions are slightly in favor of the DC alts.

I'm not counting that one dude TnT Sounds in that tally either since he's either a DC alt fanboy or perhaps even an employee.
