DC power alternator or Mechman

Just get a DC power alt and call it quits. I guarantee that's the only alt you'll ever need to buy. No sense in having a debate with people that run mechman as well. I know DC right now makes the only alternators that put out the most amperage at idle.

DC is so far advanced its not even worth comparing the two. Let the facts speak for themselves. Call up Robbie and talk to him if you're not satisifed with the responses you get here.

While DC builds a decent unit I would go with Mechman every time. Better product, actually meets claimed outputs and has great customer service.

My custom duals for my ford are less than what Mechman quoted. By far.

Did you call and ask? I know DC does a "beat the competitors price" program.

what was your voltage with the EA? and what is it with the DC? and what size alternator did you get from DC?

Their site hasn't been updated in a while. The upgraded the background but the alternator section and pricing is old. That's why they say call.

Are you talking about http://www.dcpowerinc.com ?

Sorry it's just the words "DC" "Power" and "Alternators" are all very common, and turn up a bazillion results when searched for...

You got a serious beef with Mechman I see......

All I need in an HO alt is one that fits in the stock location and puts out the power it says. I own 2 Mechman alts, but i am always open to try something else. I am curious as to the price of one for a 2000 Chrysler 300M. Mechman was the cheapest I was quoted last year but that was before i knew about DC. does he ever post here?

Robbie posted up a while ago in a thread. I don't have "serious beef" with mechman, I just don't like the responses I got from inquiries and the results between his and the other alternator.

DC power is kind of a new name. They used to be Daves DC Power like 3 years ago when they were featured in a truckin magazine article for the quick and ease of their dual alt kits.

When I used to run single alternator I had trouble fitting my mechman and just built an extension to fit. My DC alt came with everything including a bracket to make it fit directly in and I was ready to go in less than 10 minutes.
