DC Level 5 18" vs. RD Audio Alpha 18"

dc underrates the power handling of their subs significantly. my level 4 takes 1500 all day, its rated at 1000. itll take 2000 for a couple of songs, but it get warm soon after. Ive read many places where people are feeding the level 5s much more than 2000. Ive always been told that the alpha is a **** good sql sub. level 5 though is definantly spl

I kinda figured they under rated it, but wasnt sure. thanks for clearing it up for me.

My friend Andrew runs a single SAZ 3K to each one daily and they have no problems...plays it loud for quite a while and the subs barely get warm...amps stay ice cold.

Theres my delima, i like insane loud, but also like music as well.

FS on the Alpha is a 22 making it more directed towards a SQ Application, I honestly dont think it will get as loud as you want it to but then again I have been known to be wrong....

To the ear though...your not gonna know much difference...but the Alpha is more suited toawrds SQ..

i have had the alpha and the lv4. the alpha is a good sub a little stronger on the bottom end but the dc will outperform in all the other aspects.
