DC level 4 with level 5 upgrade in sealed enclosure, who has done it?

Want to try a new sub in my new build and I think I;m going to pickup a DC level 4 with level 5 parts. It is going in to a 1.2ft ^3 (gross) fiberglass enclosure so just about 1ft ^3 after displacement. Going to give it 1500w.

Anyone run these in sealed enclosure?

How does it sound?

How is it on the lows/loud?

Would you recommend it or say get something different?

Include any other information you want about it.

Umm, size of sub would be nice to know. I am assuming it will be a 10? Either way, I probably would not run it sealed. They sound pretty good but they lose a TON of output. These subs shine in ported boxes.

It would be a single 12". DC recommends either ported or sealed for Levels 1-4 and 4's with upgrade. Ported for XL's and Level 5's. A ported enclosure is not really an option because I need the room in the hatch. I am also going to keep my IA Flatlyne for sq setups. For my new build I want to go louder. I was just looking for some info and what to expect.

Would there be a big difference in adding lvl 5 soft parts? The motor strength would still be the same.

Can't tell without testing it. I'd imagine it'd be more of a ported woofer with the lvl5 soft parts.

Not sure of the specs but it is a level 4 with level 5 soft parts. Power handling goes from 1000w rms to 1500 rms. I believe almost the same specs as the level 4 with slight differences. Can't post the specs from m iPad but here's the link...

Of course it'll play, but how well? There aren't a lot of good sealed box subs that will like 1500 watts thown at them.

This is true but I'll try it out anyway. Worse case scenario it won't sound good and I'll see it on here.

why are you dumping the money on a level 4 when youre only going to get half your monies worth by running it sealed?

Ummm no didn't you see where I said I needed the space? 4th post, my second on this thread. Any recommendation on something that will get as loud or louder in a sealed enclosure for the same money or less? At this moment in time ported is not an option unless I take the fiberglass custom box and add an aero port to it to make it a 1 ft ^ 3 tuned to like 34 hz. The enclosure I ordered is to replace my stock subwoofer. It fits in the factory location so I lose no cargo space. I want to get as loud and as low as possible with what I have to work with.
