The 12's and 15's work well in sealed/4th order bandpass setups. The 10" model is the only one I'd for sure go ported with.

Why do you say that? What makes them not great for porting?

The 12 can kinda go either way. The high Qts and Vas of the 15" model just makes it more sealed/BP worthy. Porting the 15" model will result in a pretty peaky response unless you go with a large volume and low tuning...and with the space that will take up, you might as well do a 4th order BP to actually have a nice useable bandwidth.

should i go sealed with the level 3 and a decent/better amp... or go and get a SA-15 and a cheaper/decent amp?

wow i had no idea the qts was that high on the level 3's. i thought all of their woofers were in the .28-.45 range lol. i guess thats why the sound a lot better than the other levels. interesting that dc still recommends them in small boxes though, with a qts of around .6 you would think large sealed boxes should be on tap
