dc audio vs dd?

you wont go down in quality, both drivers are very well built. both are very good choices but i would give the dd the edge in being louder.

iam running a 3510 in my s-10 with a good clean 2k and its just short of sick for just 1 10" sub. imo, it has very good sq and could easily take more power.

eaither way though, you should be happy.

if you decide to sell the 3512, what would you want for it?

I've never used a LVL 4 XL personally but I currently have a 3512d with the cf dust cap and I don't think I would trade it unless you just want something new. Both sub's are built really good and I don't see one being louder then the other at least not on the same amount of power. I would probably keep the 3512 since it has the CF dust cap and that will help the resale value. How much power do you have going to your sub? If you want louder maybe try adding more power. I have right around 2k on mine and it take's it just fine.

well i had a hifonics 2608d on at .7 ohms and got a 143.6 in a 2.5 cubic foot box with 2x 4" ports. i want to break the 145 mark.
i would try more power and mabie a 2.25 cuft box tuned to 38-40 hz. the 4" ports, are they areo ports? if not use areo's or a slot port with around 46" of port.

my best at the dash sealed on a tl was 143.8 with the 3510 with 2k so i would think you could get your #'s up easily with that sub.

yes they are areo's but for tubing, i used pvc and used heat to expand the ends to fit over the flares so i dont have to use the coupler.. i think i lost some there.

i would try the 2.25cuft box with 45-46" of port and tune it near 40hz. that should be good to get you a little extra. mabie even tune as high as 42hz. even tuned to 42, it should play down to around 31hz just fine, just use a ss filter or watch the cone the first few times playing any lower at high volume.

I dont think the 4 inch Aeros is enough port. I would build bigger, slot ported box. I had my 9512 in 2.25 and had it tuned to 36 for daily and still hit almost 146. The 3512 should have no problem with right box and power.
