DC audio level 4 12" enclosure specs.

I got a DC audio lvl 4 12 D2 with xl coil, ar cone, 8ga direct leads. I'm poison it with a Twisted sounds ts1.8k amp. My electrical is up to par to support 14.4v continuous. I need the best volume and tune for a box. I read that some go big in the 3cu.ft. and others say they like small volume at 1.5cu.ft. as specified by dc audio. Any help will be appreciated a lot! Amp dyno'd at 1 ohm: 2168w certified at 14.45v and 2309w uncertified at 14.4v

Without parameters noone knows. Start off at 2 cuber tuned to 35..

I had a stock lvl 4 12, before sub displacement, the box was about 1.65 at 32hrtz, very impressive for a single sub set up.

Hey Jared, for a standard box you want about 1.25cu/ft of net airspace after displacement of the speaker and port. If you are going slot port, I would suggest about 20sq/in of port. I personally like to tune around 30-32hz for music!
