OK got a friend that bought my PG xenon 1200.1 and was going to run a JL 12W7 however he's thinking about selling it locally to buy a different sub and pocket the extra. So he's got a 4runner and wants to know what sub to run. He doesnt care what size either

wouldnt be a problem most z series are built to order so if you told them you had very little power they could actually set u up with softer spider packs. even so a dd z12 will get louder than a 2512 on 1200w due solely on the motor force difference. granted to would be a huge waste of a very expensive sub.

personally id do a sundown z15v3 in 3.5 cubes tuned to 32-34hz on that amp

ah, I see. but still, I would shoot for 900rms-1100rms to be safe.

Unless he just gets an outragous amount for the JL its pointless to sell it and get another sub. The w7 has the potential to get pretty **** loud and I personally like the way they sound too. You wouldn't be gaining anything really going with the brands you listed because it would cost as much as what the JL would sell for most likely.

Exactly... He is gunna sell the JL for like 500 max and a SA Z15 is almost 500 bucks lol
