i own a dB electrical 200amp alternator i am running a hifonics 1606D and i get no dimming at all. I'm no expert at alternators it was only 189.99 for the alt for a 92 buick lesabre. It was also stock bolt on. I have the big three also. hehe hope that helps. I don't think they are as good as excessive amperage amps and from what i heard on these forums about irragi customer service.. dB electrical seems like something to check out. I live in Canada i called them up and they were helpful shipped it out the same day. Definately look into them. Like i said im no expert on alts but for the $$ im not complaining

That's most excellent. Could you please provide some further details as to why you think they would be a good place to buy a high output alternator?

their price is a major factor. But, if you have any doubts as to how well it will perform, call down there and ask for Ron, tell him that Kimball told you to call, he will take care of ya

Excellent, I will definitely keep all of this in mind. And yes, their prices are much more reasonable than the other high output alternator manufacturers.

So, did you end up getting an alternator from them? I was thinking about getting one of thier alts for my mustang, but I wanted to see what kind of rep they have first.
