will the sub get messed up if you use the wrong db slope

if a sub calls for a sub-sonic filter to be 25 htz @ 24 db and you use 25 htz @12 db

(talking bout the kicker l5)//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

not really. you shouldnt have any issues.

all that means, is the lower the frequency, ever octave you go down (one octave down from 20, is 10, just divide by 2) the decible level will go down by a factor of 12.

they just put the 24db\octave in there to protect kicker from idiots playing 10hz notes at full volume, and folding cones, and cones popping off the speakers. lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just be careful at low frequencies under 30hz and you wont have any problems (99% of the time, they DONT occur in music) so dont worry about it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
