as soon as I took the amp off the batt. light went off,also the amp blew someone elses sub and headunit.

alright now iam calling b.s.

how in the hell can an amp kill a headunit.

so the amp killed your sub and then you let someone els kill their sub as well?

did the sub make a very loud noise as soon as the amp turned on or did you have the gain cranked and you just cooked it.

usually the only way an amp will kill a sub at normal volumes(with everything properly set) is when it goes into dc offset. if the protection didnt kick in then you would have herd a very loud thump(s).

like i said, if the amp killed the sub (with no user error) then it most likely sent a large dc signal to the sub. if that happened he would have heard this and known the sub(that he sold) was shot.
