db drags ect

It would serve you well not to talk to Geoff like that. Unless your looking to piss everyone off.

Well, that'll be too unfortunate. He doesn't need to go around being an e-***.I have nothing against him personally, as I don't even know him.

People can be pissed at me, that's ok.It's the internet.I won't lose sleep over some people across the US not liking what I say.

Im not even being an ***. People assume too much stuff in this "hobby". You dont NEED a CRX to be competitive. People USE CRXs because it's a proven car. People overseas USE Pandas because it's proven. So when the next American that USES and odd-ball car gets a higher number everyone is going to assume to need THAT vehicle to win. Let's just assume here that I have a little car in my garage doing over a 160 in StreetMax 1-2. No one in the US has done it yet. So if I brought this car to Finals and did over a 160 then EVERYONE has to have THAT vehicle? Get real. That's about as stupid as saying you need an Astrovan to be loud in superstreet classes. Look at SS1-2 class. Loudest is an old Toyota truck?? EVERYONE HAS to have one!!!

Dont even say I'm almighty either. You don't even know me.

We are not talking about super street or street max, we're talking about STREET in the US! (yes I understand it was "world" finals, but how many people bring pandas overseas).

Now with world finals, actually in other countrys, pandas will def. be taking some titles. Do you HAVE to have a crx? No, you don't. If you could somehow get another car just as loud, great. But the most proven and easiest to get really loud with, is a crx. It's pretty much a given in the street classes, here in the US where pandas are available.

You don't NEED a crx to be competitive, but it will take quite a bit of work to get something else to do a score that CRX's have been doing for 4 years.

2 VW golfs (one older, one newer) were at db drag finals last year, doing mid 154's in street a. D*mn respectable for a car that has a backseat, thus limited box space.

But, if you are going for broke, balls out, top dog SPL in the street classes, a CRX is pretty much a necessity. At LEAST go with some sort of hatchback or SUV if you want to do anything decent.

One good word of advice, stay away from regular cab trucks for street. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Especially blue ones with tonneau covers where spectators like to try to look under to see if theres anything to steal under there. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

BTW congrats Geoff on the score yesterday.

Glad I was there to see it. I wasn't so lucky. Kent begged me to bassrace my burp setup so he would have a full class and I blew my sub. Would have won my class //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Haha. He picked a crappy car to try and steal stuff from. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
