hi guys,

im getting 4 of these..

Dayton Audio RS225P-8 8" Reference Paper Woofer 8 Ohm

doing in the bottom of my doors ( 2 per side )

1- sould i biuld a ported box in my door for them ??

2- does anybody know the displacement for this woofer ??

just dont know if i should build a fiberglass enclosure and use a small pcv pipe for port, or just seal the crap out of my doors and just mount them to the doors. do it will use the door as a box.

im use for anything as im getting my supply together. this coming weekend will be cutting up my doors,, bracing them,, sound deadening them, sealing them.

going all out.

but if i should do a box i have to buy some more glass mat.

i just want to most bass i can get form them.

PE shows 1.12^3 per mid if ported. Don't really see you having room for that on your doors. Sealed is .55^3 each, might be able to do that. Otherwise run em IB and see how they do.

I ran the old AA CF mids IB and they had a LOT of bass, also had 11mm xmax and took a lot to get the door panels to stop rattling.

Yes was messing with a box calculator and I put my door specs in and dam I hab about enough room for 1 ported.

ill just seal it really good and see what it does.

thanks.
