Dash Kits... why are they so gay

I got a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado and have wasted a lot of money trying to get a dash kit... metra, scoshe... no one makes one for my car... HELP!

Chances are youll have to go to best buy or circuit city or someplace that does installs and ask them for an installation kit. I had to do an install in my friends 98 f-150 and we couldnt find an intallation kit anywhere, we would up going to best buy and they had to go back into the back where they do installs and they had to get an install kit from back there. It wasnt very much more expensive then the normal install kit though so it wasnt that bad.

thanks for responding, but as i already mentioned metra and scosche, the two major brands for install kits used by those major chain stores do not make a dash kits for my car... I was hoping someone would know of another company that makes a kit for my 03 silverado.

alot of the new cars that are slightly[i/] different dont have dash kits yet. im going through the same crap with my 03 taurus.

im going through the same crap with my 03 taurus.

Agree with you there- a friend I have at school tried but just gave up tring to fit aftermarket HU in his car. That taurus dash sucks ***.

dash kits gay? i didn't know dash kits could have a ****** presuation. well that's one of my many stupid comments of the day. i hate dash kits all together, even the ones that were made to fit. they come with all these stupid parts and nothing fits right so anyways just make one out of plastic seta your radio in there tighten up the dash and it will look fine. trust me on this one if you want too

not all, there are kits for some cars that they simply dont make. i have contacted both metra and scosche in my case, neither one makes them, nor do they plan on ever making them.

Huh, i dunno, just set the silverado as my car, and went to order it and it gave me one, but most likely i am mistaken, lo siento.

i dunno his exact specifications, but i know for my taurus there are two types of AC controls integrated into the radio. the rotary, and the digital. they make the kits for the rotary, but not the digital. i am guessinghe is having a problem similar to this.
