Dash install

um you can fit a double din in to a volkswagen dash with no custom stuff needed..

WELL OBVIOUSLY NOT AN 03.

This is my second double din with this issue. Explain to me what Im doing wrong?

and if you have clearance issues behind the radio. there is a plastic piece that you can easily cut out..

Again I am aware. I need some one to explain what Im not doing right. This is the dash/cage/headunit area with the stock deck removed... Whats missing for it to not fit right? Its not a 7.2in area its like an 8in diagnal. This is 03 VW Jetta with Monsoon stock, explain what Im forgeting.

Another reason DD don't fit... if because double dins DO NOT have metal cages like regular headunits. They just dont come with them.

Im going to make a kit for it out of 1/4 plexi. One box ring for the front of the unit and one for the back and secure the new rings in there and the unit to that and what not.
