my friend was telling me that he heard of people damping the inside of there boxes. i have thought about doing it with the new sub i have coming i figured i would start a thread about it before i try it. has anyone else heard of doing this? has anyone done this? and if so, whats it like should i do it?

depends on what you deaden it with. Usually resin works good. Any thing else can change tuning frequenices of ported boxes.

but i have so much eDead i dont know what to do with it... i think im just gunna dampin the box, i did my trunk twice, i did the doors once and then i did the floor once and it made a big differance.

thats actually a bad Idea, like havoc said it will change the tuning frequencies if you try to deaden it. plus, why bother? if you said you have "so much edead I dont know what to do with it" why dont you put it in your trunk? If you do that, you will have no reason to deaden your box unless its shitty.
