Dampening question...

I want to mat the inside of my trunk but i have a question about the trunk lid. There is sort of like 2 layers of sheet metal because the first is the solid flat part and then there is another layer covering the first flat part. There are holes between this layer and the second layer so should i just cover the holes with the mat or should I fill inbetween the two layers with something??? Sorry, maybe this won't make much sense to you, sounds a little confusing...

BE CAREFUL, but i used some minimal expanding foam then covered all the holes when it was dry. after that i went over every thing with my SD. (i used asphault sheet, but most folks use dynamat or a close alternative. this extra weight also took care of the rattleing trunk latch prob.

I used polyeurathane seam sealer for all of my seams. You can pick it up at an automotive store. (Napa)

When I did my trunk lid I used Great Stuff expanding foam to fill in all the brace bars on the lid then sealed the seams with ultra clear. Then I put one layer of elemental designs Edead on it.
